My Examination's Result

Assalamu'alaikum wbt...

With the name of Allah...

Last week, the result of our examination for the first semester in degree was pasted at the UPP’s bulletin board. Before that, my friends and I ever heard that there were twelve students of our batch had failed in the subject of philosophy. We were wondering whether the news was true or not. After my friend said that the results were come out, we were running to see the result. On that time, I felt so afraid because I was worrying if I was one of the students that had failed in the philosophy.

            After we arrived at the UPP, I could feel my heart was beating faster and faster. My mouth was continuing praying the best result for all of us. I pointed my finger at the bulletin board in order to search for my name and my result. Finally, at the number thirty-two, I found the name of mine. I saw at the right of my name. There was my result! Oh, my God! I passed for all my subjects! Nothing I could say unless praising to Allah. Praise to Allah again and again. All students of my batch also passed for all subjects. No one failed. That was very good news for us. Thank you Allah! On that moment, I could see the brightest smile at my friends’ face.

            Then, I searched for the other names, my course mates’ names especially. They all got higher pointer than me. For a while, I felt so humble in front of them. Although my result was not as good as theirs, it did not mean I could not get the same result as theirs in the future. I gave myself some spirits. I must endeavor harder for this semester and the next semesters. Suddenly, I remembered these sentences. I heard them from a fellow of mine.

“I failed in some subjects in exam, but my friend passed in all. Now he is an engineer in Microsoft and I am the owner of the Microsoft.” (Bill Gates)
